I bought this case because I didn’t want to encumber my device with an always-attached leather flip cover that would really only get in my way when I’m trying to read. I prefer my devices “naked”, so to speak (my iPhone also has no case or cover), but I wanted something I could put my Kindle in when I toss it in my bag to protect it from other items in my bag, and this case does an excellent job. The Kindle slips easily in and out, and it can be placed in the case top-first so you can still plug the sync or charge cable in. There’s really nothing more to say. It’s a pretty simple case, and meets my pretty simple needs quite well.
