    Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

My brother in law and my aunt have Kindle 2’s and have the Amazon’s leather cover, without the two bands on the right side. Having had the benefit of inspecting their purchases, I decided that the two bands are a necessary addition to the cover. With the Amazon cover, the Kindle is like a stiff page inside a three ring binder that is kept in place by two tiny pins in the center of the cover. If you hold the Kindle itself by it’s right side, the right side of the Amazon cover will hang awkwardly down a few inches, putting stress on the left side of the Kindle and on the two pins. I think this is probably the cause of the cracks in the side of the Kindle that people have reported with the use of that cover.

The M-Edge GO! Jacket solves this problem with the two bands, not allowing the right side of the Kindle to become detached from the right side of the cover. The bands work perfectly and don’t get in the way of any of the controls.

The inside of the jacket is nice, a soft gray fabric-like material that is pleasant to hold. I opted for the blue cover, mainly because I’m tired of the ubiquitous black leather binder look. I have a bunch of black leather binders, briefcases, and things like that associated with work, so the blue cover subtly telegraphs “I’m not work” to me when I see it.

The color of the cover pretty well matched the color that showed on my monitor. It’s not bright enough to be girly, and not dark enough to be serious, somewhere in the middle, which is what I was looking for.

This cover is an attractive way to protect your Kindle. The “hook” in feature holds the Kindle securely and the straps are just added insurance that the Kindle remains in place. It is not too thick, nicely padded, and very well made and for the price; making a second color a very affordable option. I love mine and will be ordering the Marbled Red cover as well.

Perhaps mine had a defect, however the straps on the right side don’t always keep the Kindle held in place. And wouldnt you know my Kindle now has a crack on the top left bracket. I called Amazon and they are refunding me my money for the cover and sending me a new Kindle. However, I would not recommend this cover…hopefully someday I’ll find a cover that doesnt crack my Kindle.
